California State Superintendent Job Description

Title of the position
State Superintendent

Reports to
Pacific Coast District Superintendent

Overall responsibility
Overseer and Legal Representative of the House of God Churches in the State of California

Key areas of responsibility

Plan the overall direction of the state churches with pastors or their representative; with a focus on spiritual and numerical growth objectives for 1, 3 and 5 years

Meet periodically with state pastors to; discuss and evaluate the churches and their progress

Insure that pastors and churches of the state are working together to reach their objectives

Spearhead the growth of the State in number of Churches and Spiritual development

Hold and preside over two State meetings per year

Make planned visits to each state church

Spearhead and oversee state fundraisers and funds

Receive, file and submit Quarterly progress reports

See that the accomplishments of churches in the state are celebrated and their needs are advocated to the leadership of the church

Review training material and attend training conferences as often as possible

Participate in planning and evaluation meetings with the District Superintendent

Joyfully completing other assignments as requested by the District Superintendent

Qualifications

Is knowledgeable in scripture and ordained by the House of God
Is in complete agreement with the Doctrine of the House of God
Adheres to the House of God's, Policies and Guidelines
Has a passion for people and reaching lost souls
Have a teachable spirit and a learner
